CardScan is a business card scanning and management application. The service lets users photograph business cards, automatically extract contact details using artificial intelligence, and organize them into a personal address book.
The service is published by Reverdin Studio, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II 154, 00186 Rome, Italy, VAT number IT17458801002. Publication director: Marc Reverdin.
Access to the service requires creating an account. Users agree to provide accurate information and to keep their login credentials confidential.
Each user is responsible for all activity carried out from their account. Any fraudulent use must be reported to privacy@getcardscan.com.
Business card images submitted to the service are processed by artificial intelligence (Claude, Anthropic) to extract contact information. Images are used solely for this purpose and are not retained indefinitely.
Extracted data (name, company, email, phone, etc.) is stored in your personal account and is accessible only by you. It is not shared with third parties.
Users agree to scan only business cards for which they have a legal basis (consent of the person concerned, or a legitimate professional interest).
The CardScan application, its source code, graphic design and features are the exclusive property of Reverdin Studio and are protected by copyright.
Data entered by the user belongs to the user. Reverdin Studio claims no ownership rights over the content of the user's contacts.
Reverdin Studio makes every effort to ensure the availability and reliability of the service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The service is provided "as is".
Users are solely responsible for how they use the extracted data and for its compliance with applicable law, in particular the GDPR, with respect to third parties' personal data.
Users may delete their account at any time from the application settings. This deletion results in the permanent removal of all their data within 30 days.
Reverdin Studio reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in the event of a breach of these terms of use.
Reverdin Studio reserves the right to modify these terms. Users will be notified by email of any substantial change. Continuing to use the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

In accordance with the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), you have a 14 calendar-day period to exercise your right of withdrawal on the Pro subscription or on the purchase of credit packs, without having to give reasons or pay a penalty.
By subscribing to the Pro plan or purchasing credits, you expressly request that performance of the digital service begin immediately, at your request, before the 14-day withdrawal period expires.
You acknowledge and agree that, in line with the EU Consumer Rights Directive's rule on digital services, the right of withdrawal is lost once performance of the digital service has begun with your prior express consent — that is, from the first actual use of the service (first scan, first sync, first credit spent, etc.).
Annual Pro subscription: the unused portion of the subscription can be refunded pro rata on simple request to support@getcardscan.com, within 14 days of subscribing, in accordance with the right of withdrawal described in Section 8.
Credit packs: credits already used are non-refundable. Credits purchased but not used can be refunded under the same conditions (request within 14 days of purchase, before any credit is used).
After this 14-day period, or as soon as a credit has been used, no refund can be granted, unless mandatory law applicable in the user's country of residence provides otherwise.
These Terms of Service are governed by Italian law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection provisions applicable in the user's country of residence, which remain applicable where the user is a consumer.
Any dispute relating to the interpretation or performance of these terms shall, failing an amicable settlement, be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rome, Italy, subject to the same reservation of the consumer's mandatory rights mentioned above.
